im feeling nostalgic
the lenses are tinted red
And im starting to think that
perhaps things werent as good as we thought back then
25 years everythings lost its luster
except peanut butter and jellys ok
but ive had every flavor
ironically choking to death on life savers
nostalgias a dangerous drug
be careful consuming too much
could lead you down memory lane
the pictures could drive you insane

each days not as good as the previous
due to the fact that your closing the gap from living to dying
chasing down memories to try and relive them
only to realize your interest is fading
you try something new its just not the same
so you keep heading backwards and try recreating
a feeling you felt for a prior engagement
a dangerous addiction no cure for nostalgia
just keep your eyes focused on present and future
